Record of Employment and Experience

1965 - 1966

Appointed Teaching Assistant in the Department of Economics, University of Ghana.  Gave tutorials in Development Planning and Economic Growth to final year students, and the Economy of Ghana to first year students.

1970
Appointed lecturer in economics at the University of Cape Coast. Taught Economic Development and Growth, History of Economic Thought, Mathematics for Economists to undergraduates.
1980 (Fall)

Gave tutorials in Economic principles to first year undergraduates in Vanderbilt University, US.

1982 - 1984
Returned to the Economics Department, University of Cape Coast, and taught Mathematical Economics, and International Trade Theory to graduates and undergraduates.
1984 - 1988    

Seconded to the Centre for Development Studies - a research outfit of the University of Cape Coast.  Served as counterpart to the team from the David Livingstone Institute of Strathclyde University (Glasgow), which, in collaboration with the Centre, organized a series of workshops on the "Choice of  Technology, and the Identification, Appraisal and Implementation of Development Projects. A total of some 175 middle and higher level decision makers from the Ministries, public corporations, financial institutions, agro-industrial enterprises, university and research institutions, benefited from the workshops. Participated in the drawing up of a comprehensive syllabus for the post-graduate programme in Development Studies with emphasis on the generation, choice and use of technology. Taught economic theory to second and final year students of the Economics Department.

Took part in the multi-country collaborative research on the “Impact of Bilateral and Multilateral Aid on African Agriculture".
